If you do, can I be your boyfriend because I want somebody to give me all the Ike & Tina I still need to complete my collection? For starters, you're talking about fifteen - yes fifteen - different labels. Secondly, many mono singles are extremely rare and not available on CD. Thirdly, not every studio album they recorded is currently available on CD.Do you want a list of what currently available CDs cover all (or near all) of their output label by label? We'll start at the beginning. I'll throw in stuff that's maybe an eBay purchase too.Sue Label: covers every recording 1960-3(Sonja 1964- 2 hit singles 'You Can't Miss Nothing You Never Had' & 'Poor Little Fool' )( Warner Brothers / Loma 1964-65.Here's where things get sticky: there has never been a vinyl or CD compilation of these 45s. Their LPs were 'live', but the recording quality indicates studio with audience overdubs.Warner Bros. 5433 - A Fool For A Fool / No Tears To Cry - 1964Warner Bros. 5461 - It's All Over / Finger Poppin' - 1964Warner Bros. 5493 - Ooh Poo Pah Doo / / Merry Christmas Baby - 1964Loma 2011 - Tell Her I'm Not Home / I'm Thru With Love - 1965Loma 2015 - Somebody Somewhere Needs You / Just To Be With You - 1965)Kent/Modern: covers all recordings from this label 1964-65(Tangerine: 2 45s not on CD 1966Tangerine 963 - Beauty Is Only Skin Deep. MP3 / Anything You Wasn't Born With –Tangerine 967 - Dust My Broom / I'm Hooked )Philles: all recordings except 'I'll Keep You Happy', 'You're So Fine', 'Two To Tango', 'A Man Is A Man' 1966Now I've had enough for the day, but there's a start for you!

(1967) because neither it or the Capitol version with string & horns overdubs is available on CD.These 3 2-fers cover all the UA studio albums while Ike & Tina were together (some covers are different to the US versions):These next 2 albums were released post-breakup.and finally, Ike put out an album (with some Tina contributions) called 'The Edge - featuring Tina R Turner and Home Grown Funk'And that pretty much covers the available-on-CD studio recordings of Ike & Tina! I am currently searching all over the net for info and it is very complicating.

Thanks very much for all your info Ricko. I think I have all the interesting cd's. I have a few questions, maybe you know the answer.' A fool too long' (a-side 1960), 'Please don't hurt me' (a-side 1962) and 'Tin top house' (b-side 1965) seem to be the only Sue single-only tracks not reissued on cd.

A fool too long is just 'A fool in love' but quicker and with (some) different lyrics but the other two seem to be 'real' songs. 'A fool too long' and 'Please don't hurt me' can be bought on i-tunes (on a cheap compilation called 'It's gonna work out fine - the early years'. Do you know why they weren't released on a cd?

Click to expand.Yes there's so little in-depth on the net re I & TT's discography! It took me months just to sort out the 45s & I'm not sure I got it 100% right. The 45 'A Fool Too Long' is on CD but it's named 'Poor Fool' - they're the same track.I don't have the 'Please Don't Hurt Me' 45, but I suspect it's another retitling: I'd be very interested what they've got on iTunes'Tin Top House' is another retitling: as I recall it's '(Everybody's Doin' The) Tinaroo' but I forgot to make a note of it lol. When you were talking about the two Sonja singles, you probably meant 'You can't miss something.' & 'If I can't be first' instead of Poor little fool? There's also the mystery of another Sonja single, 'Strange' / 'Your a jive playboy' Sonja 5002, supposedly from 1963. Strange that the number starts with 5 instead of 2, like the other Sonja singles. It was sold recently for a huge amount of money and it's called the rarest Ike & Tina single ever. Strange (same version?? It sounds older than the remake and has a length of 3.05) is on the Airwaves comp lp (& cd), a remake (2.38) was on the Get it Get it lp (and also on it's Her Man His Woman counterpart). But I can't find a recording of Your a jive playboy anywhere. Not surprised actually.
