Dell Sata Ahci Drivers
Dear sir I am using dell vostro 2520 laptop I have installed three operating system 1) windows server 2003 2) windows 7 3) red hat enterprise Linux 5 problem is when I set SATA operation to ATA, then only windows os are able to open but that time red hat Linux can not open and when I set SATA operation to AHCI, then only red hat linux is able to open and others not so please let me know what.
I don't have the AHCI drivers and I'm not sure how to get them. I have tried the regedit options that I have found, but msahci doesn't exist in the registry and another option I found was already at its correct value. I have booted with AHCI in the BIOS, but the device manager doesn't have anything AHCI related and Samsung Magician says it isn't working either. Under storage controllers, Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller is the only thing there. I am running Windows 10.Is it worth the trouble of getting this to work properly and if so, does anyone know how?Possible relevant system parts:i7 6700kAsrock Z170 Extreme4850 Pro 500 GB SSD2 TB HDDThanks for looking.
